Writing workshops for international organizations

The opportunity You and your organization can make the world a better place

The problem Dense and opaque writing prevents change from happening.

The solution Writing skills training with a reader-centred focus

My writing workshops show you how to:

  • put the reader at the centre of your writing
  • identify your goals and your audiences
  • use storytelling to put people in the picture
  • maximise readability of paragraphs, sentences and words
  • explain or replace jargon and buzzwords
  • identify the problem, the cause and the solution.

I can tailor dedicated workshops to the needs of your organization or team.
I run open workshops in UN/NGO/EU hub cities in Europe and Africa, and online.
Core workshops run over one day (in person) or two half-days (online).

Specialized writing workshops or modules cover a wide range of writing tasks:

  • “report clinic” (analysing texts)
  • policy writing
  • powerful presentations
  • comms tools (blogs, opeds, social media)
  • effective email
  • taking and writing minutes
  • using data to tell a story
  • critical thinking
  • research writing
  • executive summaries
  • managing colleagues’ writing
