I can offer advice at every stage of the writing and publishing process.

Report doctor

I can help you build the outline (or "zero draft") of your report, making sure that you start with a logical sequence and clear draft messages. I can also:

  • comment in depth on early drafts, offering feedback on structure, narrative and messages
  • provide advice on language and tone, from using paragraphs and sentences wisely to choosing the best words and avoiding jargon
  • advise on the best use of figures, graphs, tables and boxes
  • help you conceive infographics and choose photographs and other illustrations.

Going with the flow

I can help you analyse and improve the writing and editing process in your organization, by:

  • organizing your copy flow
  • showing you how to use master files
  • suggesting how to set deadlines
  • designing or revising document templates
  • compiling or revising your organization’s style guide.

As well as editing ...

... your reports and other principal documents, I can be on call to write and edit media materials such as opinion articles, press releases, speeches, video scripts, fact sheets and policy briefs.

As well as my workshops . . .

I can offer intensive one-on-one tutoring based on writing and editing exercises, at a distance or on site.

Tell me what you need!

If you want to make sure your report is special, new, punchy, smart and easy to read, ask me what I can do to help. I have many years of experience.
